The Modernism Show, November 3 & 4
The Woman's Board of the Winnetka Community House is sponsoring its
18th annual presentation of midwestern Modernism, with fabulous
examples detailing Art Nouveau, Arts and Crafts, Prairie School,
Art Deco, Art Moderne, Mid-Century and other 20th Century design
movements. Items including furniture, paintings, prints, jewelry,
metalwork, pottery, textiles and clothing and other decorative arts
will be offered for sale by over 50 dealers from across the United
States and Europe.
Tickets are $12 for a two-day pass to the event, held at the Winnetka

The Old Fashioned Holiday Craft Faire is one of the season's

earliest entries, and will start TODAY at The Grove in Glenview. The
park will be decorated for the holidays - can you believe it - and filled
with a huge selection of crafts from more than 75 juried artists. Check
it out! It's just $5 for adults and $1 for kids ages 12 and under.
