Insider Tips Of The Week:

Insider Tip#1: 1-94 Construction -- Someone’s Got To Tell It Like It Is...

  • In the next week, the exit ramp from the southbound Tri-State Tollway (I-94) to southbound U.S. 41 will close to traffic and a detour will be in place.
  • The northbound traffic from the Waukegan Toll Plaza to the Wisconsin state line will be shifted into a counterflow traffic pattern to keep three lanes open during construction.
  • Lanes will be split into Express and Local Lanes.
  • Drivers in the far left Express Lane will not be able to exit until Wisconsin.
  • Drivers planning to exit at IL Route 173 or Russell Road must stay to the right and use the Local Lanes.
