Visit Ravinia.org and sign up for “My Ravinia” to get a ton of great information, such as last minute ticket releases. Take June for example – there are several “Two For One” and “All Tickets Just $15” concerts to choose from. It may not be James Taylor or the CSO, but it’s an inexpensive way to enjoy an evening under the stars or to introduce a younger member of the family to something besides Coldplay!

Summer Art Fair Highlight: Waukegan
This weekend’s outdoor art fix comes courtesy of Waukegan and the Dandelion Wine Fine Arts Festival. The name is derived from the book by Ray Bradbury, a past Waukegan resident and favorite son. There’ll be art, music, drama, and dance through art demonstrations, an open microphone program, musicians, dance demonstrations, theatre workshops, and storytellers.

At NIPSTA’s Public Safety Awareness event this weekend, you can touch all those way cool cars and trucks, see a fire hose display, watch high rise fire rescue demonstrations, visit with horse-mounted police, learn about crime scene evidence collection and more!
