Insider Tips Of The Week:

The Fourth is fun – but laundry the next day? Not so much – especially if you’ve got lots of popsicle and watermelon stains to eliminate. Here’s a couple quick tips:

For popsicles – Try to rinse the clothing in cold water as soon as possible, then when you can, soak it for at least 30 minutes in cold water. If that doesn’t do the trick, break out the ammonia, and dab the spot with a Q-Tip. follow up with a trip through the washing machine.

For watermelons – This juice is tougher than it looks – boil some distilled water and pour it through the stain. Let it soak if necessary. And if you can wash it in a hot cycle, go for it.
