face painting. There'll be refreshments on site as well!

races, skating, children's entertainment, face painting, and if by
some miracle we have enough snow on the ground, a family snow
sculpture contest!

Northwestern University will feature two keynote speakers:
Alexis M. Herman, former U.S. Secretary of Labor, and Northwestern
alumna Eva Jefferson Paterson, the president and founder of the
Equal Justice Society. They will be the featured speakers on the
Evanston campus at Northwestern University's 2008 commemoration of
the life and legacy of the late civil and human rights leader Dr.
Martin Luther King Jr.
The annual Candlelight Vigil is Northwestern's longest-running
observance and has been hosted for more than 20 years by the Alpha
Phi Alpha Fraternity, the late Dr. King's fraternity.

11:00am: Herman will speak at Pick-Staiger Concert Hall,

7 pm: Paterson's talk will take place during the Candlelight Vigil

all-white elementary school. This film first appeared on the Disney
Channel and dramatizes her story. Not rated; recommended for ages 7 and up.
