Out Of The Bottle Boxed Set

Voted by Real Simple as some of the best boxed wines on the market… get over the bottle and check these out.
2007 From the Tank Côtes-du-Rhône Vin Rouge
From a wine cooperative of local growers in the south of France comes this high quality, powerful blend of Grenache, Syrah, and Carignan grapes. Delicious from beginning to end, it has dark cherry notes that make it particularly tasty with meat hot off the grill.
2007 From the Tank Côtes-du-Rhône Vin Blanc
Decant this fruity, no-fuss French table wine into a cute carafe for a touch of Parisian authenticity. Fresh and dry, it pairs nicely with barbecued chicken and summer salads.
To buy: $40 for 3 liters (equivalent to four bottles), at liquor stores or astorwines.com
Obviously… I’m Missing Something

I had no idea that Bacon was such an amusing novelty. Bacon balm… a bacon wallet and Bacon adhesive strips. http://www.neatoshop.com/

Where To Go:
North Shore Chicago Music Scene
Celebrating Annie Oakley All Weekend

Patti LuPone may be at home on the movie screen, the TV set and the Broadway stage, but she’s only really at home when she’s at Ravinia. With her bigger-than-life vocalism, she is the obvious heiress to the mantle of the legendary Ethel Merman, winning a Drama Desk Award and Tony nomination for Anything Goes and a Tony Award for her take on Mama Rose from Gypsy, a role she first created at Ravinia before taking it to Broadway. Now, for the 150th anniversary of Annie Oakley’s birth, LuPone tackles another iconic Merman role for Ravinia, playing fast and loose with gunpowder and love in Irving Berlin’s bigger-than-life musical about the fabled sharp-shooter. The hit-stuffed score includes “Doin’ What Comes Naturally,” “There’s No Business Like Show Business,” “Anything You Can Do I Can Do Better,” “You Can’t Get a Man with a Gun” and “They Say It’s Wonderful.”
