Didier Farms & Ziegler's Orchard
You Can Pick Your Friends and
Your Pumpkins and Apples Too!
This is the peak picking time.
It’s not too hot or too cold and the idea of hunkering down for the fall and winter season is still far enough off. These next few weeks present themselves as a welcome seasonal window of opportunity. Take full advantage of this weekend and certainly the next few to relish in Indian summer and perhaps even a few day trips to score some crisp apples or decorative fall items...
Here are your Insider Tips on local two key spots to check out with the kids or of course without them too.
Didier Farms
From now until October 31st Didier Farms is open 7 days a week and open to all. The pumpkins are .49 cents a pound and you can choose your own from the patch if you want to board the hay-filled tractor and take a ride ($2.25 per person, unless you’re under a year old).
During the week the rides go from 12-5pm and on weekends from 10-5 or dusk.
If you need more than pumpkins to get you in the mood, get lost in the corn maze, jump on a pony or hit the petting zoo. Or on weekends, all out with other fun and games including the Burlap Bag Slide, Pumpkin Spin, Kiddies Train or Big trucks.
If you’re still not feeling it, make your way to the Pumpkin Patch Café for the ol’ apple cider donut and coffee.
