North Shore Networking Nebs
Here's the scene... 7:30 am, 12°F (but according to weather.com it feels like -2°), the Networking meeting parking lot is vacant and get this, doors are locked. Such is life. I figured maybe others considered it too cold to talk or I missed the change of venue memo. Before I start craving the sleep I sacrificed, another over zealous attendee arrives.
That's how I met my subject, Jason Seiden.
Jason and I decided we'd have our own networking meeting, because "hey you never know". And, I am thankful to say; now I do.
Jason Seiden is an Executive Team Coach and writer of How to Self-Destruct, Making the Least of What's Left of Your Career. He is a born and raised Highland Parker who makes no apologies about returning here to spend his life with his Highland Park sweetie, Vanessa and two girlz Elle and Jaz.
Following networking etiquette I asked lots of questions (and Jason reciprocated).
I wanted to know what does an Executive Coach really do - was it like a Life Coach? Swim coach?
In his approachable manner Jason explained that he is the guy that helps the big guys resolve high level personal problems with the little guys at Fortune 500 companies and in fast-growing, entrepreneurial organizations. He helps build teams in the work place so they function better and stay on strategy.
Aside from the book, and coaching day job Jason's latest venture is public speaking. His last engagement made it so big at Kellogg he was asked back to speak again in May... details are still in the works. The good news is, why wait until May to get Jason's useful and actionable tips. Just go straight away to: www.SeidenLeadership.com - the downloadable presentations are there.

What I found especially delightful about this morning's circumstances is that Networking meetings work. Meeting someone new, making a friend and helping each other's businesses thrive - that's an absolute win-win formula as I see it and I'm no coach. Already I've informed Jason that meeting him was the high of my day. Trust me, when a school bus hit my parked car about an hour later (for real) it was all down hill from there.
