Kohl Children’s Museum

The Kohl Children’s Museum Hosts A Family Tasting Event
Twisting Traditional Kids' Fare Into Gourmet Delights!

Foodies know no age.
Even at a few months old any parent can determine whether their little one is into it. And, who better to acknowledge the union and celebration of food as fun than the Kohl’s Children Museum.

This Sunday, September 7th, the Kohl Museum hosts the "Night of a Thousand Clean Plates." This event is all about engaging the taste buds and stimulating the imagination. Kid’s classics will be on the menu but with preparations and presentations equally and deliciously appealing to the adult, mom and dad crow.

Here’s your chance to meet some of Chicago’s most prestigious chefs from top restaurants including Charlie Trotters, Landmark Grill, Va Pensiero, Chalkboard, Le Titi De Paris, onesixtyblue and Purple Asparagus while they creative re-create chicken nuggets, sloppy joes, hot dogs, grilled cheese, and the all time kid’s gold star standard, pb&j sandwiches among others.
To compliment the food, James Beard-award winning chef and Food Network personality Gale Gand will provide her own special-blended root beer for the occasion.

To keep the fun flowing, legendary children's musician Ella Jenkins, Miss Lori of "PBS Kids," and David Hammond, eminent food critic and moderator of LTHForum.com, will host, to ensure a festive ambience paired with an approachable and high-end dining experience.

The funds raised from ticket sales and silent and live auctions will go to the StoryBus, a 37-foot children's museum-on-wheels. StoryBus is currently visiting low-income schools in the Chicagoland area and spreading t excitement and enthusiasm for reading as a way to build emergent literacy skills among the earliest learners.
For those super curious, the bus will be open along with the museum for all diners to tour between tastings!

Dinner is served Sunday, September 7, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
at the Kohl Children's Museum of Greater Chicago
2100 Patriot Boulevard in Glenview.
Tickets are $75 for adults, and $25 for kids.
