Here’s a new one – restaurant that is… Nick’s Fishmarket and Grill. This restaurant is seriously worth fishing for. Located in Lake Cook Plaza, just off of Lake Cook Road in Deerfield, this is the third Nick’s added to the Chicago and Rosemont locations. Nick’s is considered, “The Art of Fine Dining” and winning recipe for fine dining without the big gulp pricing.

For starters, choose from a long list of appetizers including Clams Casino, Nick’s Raw Bar, Ahi Tuna Sashimi, Tempura Rock Shrimp, Jumbo Crab Cakes, and a variety of salads. Nick’s is known for its delicious flatbreads including Asian BBQ and classic Margarita.

Nick’s most popular items include fish -- prepared to your liking from any multiple of preparation option plus the choice of two “sides” . The tilapia prepared ricci style (lemon butter, asparagus, and bay shrimp) is a hand-down favorite. Nick’s is perfect for a romantic couples evening or with the family when the kids’ menu is apt to come in handy.

As for my personal favorite – it would have to be the pomegranate chicken salad. Here are the details -- with grilled chicken with strawberries, apples, dried cherries, mandarin oranges, black berries, candied walnuts, and bleu cheese on top of a bed of yummy greens. Then, there’s the tilapia, flat iron steak, Asian BBQ flatbread, and the lobster shrimp risotto. Each dish prepared with only the finest ingredients, and is guaranteed to leave you licking your lips.

Nick’s also has a variety of private dining and cocktail reception rooms which accommodate parties from 20 to 520 plus outdoor seating perfect for any summer night. Don’t miss the bar, offering an award wining wine list daily drink specials and full selection of spirits.

Nick’s is open for lunch and dinner seven days a week – but the busiest nights are Fridays and Saturdays, (reservations recommended).
