Pam Phillips Aerobics

Hot Hot Hot North Shore Women

A woman likes to look her best and North Shore women are the best at looking their best. The just so hair, the perfect shade of lipstick, the scarf tied to the strap of her Hermes bag—it all looks effortless. Maybe it is, maybe it isn't.

But you can always tell a Pam Phillips woman. There is no sag, there is no drag, it is as if she were living proof that gravity is just a guideline, not an actual law of nature.

Pam Phillips started teaching aerobics in the eighties when it was just a passing fancy. A single mom of three boys, she was determined to make a living at it. She was also determined to be the best. She didn't limit herself to what was expected in a class.

Pam learned, she culled from the developing ideas of fitness, and she expanded so that on any day of the week you can take a Pam Phillips class. Strength training, Cardio, Yoga, Pilates, there’s even a six a.m. Sunrise Challenge which I declined to open my eyes for. She has working with her some very talented women and each of them has the same Pam Phillips look: tight butt, trim legs, toned arms, and abdominals you could bounce a quarter off of if you and she were so inclined.

Classes are held in the Winnetka Community House on Lincoln Avenue and the pricing system is ingenious. You purchase a punch card and you're free to take whatever classes you choose. You wake up one morning and decide you’re up for Cardio, you can do it. But if tomorrow, your schedule is too tight--no problem.

Unfortunately, I'm not the kind of gal who can keep up with Pam. I'm too clumsy, I have no sense of rhythm and the sight of my jiggling flesh in the mirror at the front of the classroom is just too horrifying. But I do envy the Pam Phillips woman.

You can email Pam at fittbiz2@aol.com or call for more information on classes at 847-441-8041
