Spring Makeup Trends 2008

Spring is here and color is in high gear this season. Throw caution to the wind, ditch the brown makeup – and go for it! From the runways of Paris to New York, a kaleidoscope of color is in full bloom. A fun, confident and a no-fear attitude about color abound this season – bold and shiny purple, lilac, violet, and bright pinks are seen on the eyes. A bright pink lip is worn with a high gloss shine, and a soft rose shimmer blush on the cheeks.

Another strong look this season is a little more classic and understated, with a modern twist. Navy liner is seen everywhere. Pared with pale pink and a soft yellow shimmer. The lip for this look is a beautiful rose pink, taken up a notch from the nude pink of last season.

When using the beautiful array of shimmery coppers and golds - think ethereal, and feminine. Try a pink-based copper on the lid and a white liner on the inner rim of the eye for a brightening effect. This look is ultra-feminine and timeless. A peach glow, or bronzer swept over the cheekbones gives a warm organic feel. Try a lip stain paired with a lip gloss this season. These actually stain the lips with color that lasts for hours. The look here was achieved by using Nars Turkish Delight / Sayonara combination lip stain and gloss duo.
