Valentines Day 2008
Insider Tips to Combat The Storm
and Start Planning Valentine’s Day
I’m a closet romantic – in that, I love to pretend romance really doesn’t matter all that much, and the proof of my husband’s love is in the big picture – there’s a roof over our heads, food in the fridge, and a ring on my finger. But I admit it. I swoon over the tiniest romantic gesture. A card. Flowers. Dinner. A glittery bauble. It may not materialize, and because I can see the big picture, that’s OK. But...yeah, it makes me swoon.
So guys – or gals – if you’re thinking about February 14th, and what you can do to make the day special, we’ve got a few helpful hints and some interesting and unique ideas for you:
Ditch The Kids
Seriously – romance just ain’t on the agenda if there is a child sitting next to you at a restaurant ordering the Mac ‘N Cheese. Finding a sitter can be hard, and asking your significant other to do it often takes the romance out of the evening. If you don’t have a regular child care technician on call, try North Shore Nannies! Your first request will involve a little more of your time, in that you’ll need to answer questions about your family, so that the agency can match you up with just the right caregiver. North Shore Nannies offers temporary evening nannies starting at $12 an hour for a four-hour minimum job, and overnight services for $120 a night, plus $5 per child.
