Wilmette Police Ask Residents To Lock Up Tight
Friday, December 8th, 2006 by adminIn the past few days, five vehicles have been stolen in the village of Wilmette as well as the occurence of several armed robberies. The Wilmette police are asking residents to lock their vehicles and asking business owners and employees to be overly cautious of suspicious activity. In every case of the stolen vehicles, the doors were unlocked and the keys were left in the ignition.
Three robberies have occurred in the Wilmette area over the last few days, and police ask that business go over safety practices with their employees.
Police said the man robbed a dry-cleaning store in Skokie, a coffee-shop in Evanston, and a grocery store in Wilmette.
