Glad You’re Back Steve!

Thursday, September 10th, 2009 by Loren

I am a total dork.
Seeing Steven Jobs back to work in his black mock turtleneck brought tears to my eyes.
Skin and bones and clearly ready for his next ice cream fix…
I got caught up in his gratitude to be in front of the crowd talking about his newest nano.
Come on, the guy’s a living legend.
As a friend of mine put it, there’s Apple, and then there’s everything else.
The not so big news in San Fransisco that some called the snorefest was about the iTouch and an upcoming Tablet thingy to compete with Kindle to also allow for larger format fun — movies etc.
Truthfully, whatever Apple creates I covet.
I may be one of the few North Shore peeps without an iPhone…but that doesn’t mean I don’t swoon in their stores and
suck up all their applications.
Even have an Apple sticker on my car, thank u very much.
But what I really appreciate about what Steve Job, has less to do with his products (all raving aside) but more to do with the mind blowing attraction that has been built around the brand — and brand experience.
Not too many companies and brands theses days “got it” like these guys do and in a nano second I could find hundreds to say — duh, no kidding. They are the mastas and in my own lay woman way I just want to say,
Steve I admire your fight, your fire and the fenomenal culture you’ve created.
Wish we could share a sundae.
