Prices Up For Condos In Deerfield
December 26th, 2007 by JakeThe average sales price of condominiums and lofts for sale in Deerfield was up during the third quarter. According to data from the Chicago Association of Realtors, the average sales price during the quarter was 1 percent higher than last year.
Also, condo owners and developers in this northern suburb are seeing one of the quickest turnover times in recent years. The average turnover time during the third quarter was 66 days, a 10 percent drop from the same period last year and the lowest turnover time in four years in the neighborhood.
However, sales of condos in Deerfield dropped to a 16-year low for the quarter. A total of 20 units were sold during the third quarter, 52 percent lower than during the same period last year.
Prices in Deerfield should remain steady if inventory numbers continue to drop. Despite fewer sales, sellers are still able to find interested buyers far quicker than in many other parts of Chicago.
