Libertyville Condo Market Update
February 27th, 2008 by JakeSales of condos dropped again during the third quarter in Libertyville. According to data from the Chicago Association of Realtors, a total of 19 units were sold during the quarter in the neighborhood, down from 25 units sold during the same period in 2006.
However, buyers are starting to see lower prices in the area, which could help increase demand for condos around Libertyville. The average sales price during the third quarter dropped by three percent from the same period in 2006.
An increase in the number of unsold condos sitting on the market in the area could lead to even lower prices in the short term. If you’re selling a condo in Libertyville, it will now take you an average of 142 days to find a buyer, up from 88 days a year ago.
Buyers should aggressively negotiate for a great price on condos around Libertyville. The area offers an excellent lifestyle and is one of the top suburbs in Chicago for families and young professionals.
