Glenview, Illinois offers residents and visitors a wide assortment of shopping venues and local events throughout the year. This village north of Chicago is home to over 44,000 people who take pride in making their community a welcoming place. From the older neighborhoods with quiet streets, beautiful park system or busy Glen Town Center shopping complex, Glenview is a top spot for summertime entertainment.
Glenview redeveloped the old Naval base and turned it into a beautiful addition to the village. Dubbed The Glen, it consists of new housing, business centers, walking trails, man made lake and golf courses. But the shopping highlight is The Glen Town Center. This retail complex could take hours to explore with shops like Clair's, Ann Taylor Loft, The Candy Crossing, Figaro European Shoes, and Amazing Gracie's Children's Shoppe just to name a few. A healthy choice of restaurants is available along with a movie theater to complete the shopping experience.
Spring and Summer in Glenview are packed full of community events. The problem won't be a lack of entertaining things to do, but rather finding the time to do them all.
