February 8, 2012 - There are 343 Condominiums and townhomes listed for sale on the MLS in Skokie. Aside from Evanston, Skokie has the largest inventory of condos and townhomes available for purchase. Prices range from $129,000 for a one bedroom/ one bath unit in a 50-year-old building to more than $1.5 million for a new unit in the Optima Old Orchard Woods development.

Pricing per square foot for re-sale condos listed for sale averages between $125 - $304, with the bulk of the inventory hovering in the low $200s, making it a very affordable real estate market, especially in comparison to Chicago real estate. In regard to listing price, the bulk of the inventory is in the low $100,000s to mid-$300,000s, with new construction making up the bulk of the higher-end of the price range. Skokie is extremely convenient to both downtown Chicago and Evanston.

Resale Condos:

There are 263 condominiums and townhomes on the market. This is one of the larger markets for North Shore Chicago Condos. Prices range from the low $100,000s for moderately-sized older units to the mid-$400,000s for newer construction or luxury upgrades. Here’s a sample:
