The Arbors is a condominium complex located a quarter mile from the center of downtown Highland Park. Highland Park is about 23 miles north of The Loop, stretching along five miles of beautiful Lake Michigan shoreline, and sporting a healthy population of 32,000. The U.S. Forest Service and the National Association of State Foresters have declared Highland Park as a Tree City USA for more than 17 years now. The whole area is like a suburban paradise, clean and pristine with tree-lined curving streets, sprawling homes, upscale stores and boutiques, low crime rates, and some of the best schools in the state.

The Arbors is as intriguing as the area where it's located. The Arbors is a brick construction that offers buyers a lot of outdoor space in the form of either balconies on upper floors that range from 40 to 125 square feet, or private patio gardens at ground level that are around 18-feet long and enclosed by a 4-foot-high wall. There is plenty of room for grass, trees and plants and also a trellis area.

Some of amenities include an indoor garage, with not one, but two parking places per unit included in the price. There is also a swimming pool and a fitness center, so that you can stay in shape without wasting time or money at a gym or public pool.

The floor plan features 2- and 3-bedroom units. The 2 bedroom units are 1,490 square feet in size and come with 2 baths, a dining room and study, a great room and an eat-in kitchen. Located on floors 2, 3 and 4, their base prices go from the low $360s to around $374,000.

The 3-bedroom units positioned on the second and fourth floors range in size from 2,063 to 2,419 square feet and have 2 baths, eat-in kitchens, family rooms and studies or family rooms and dining rooms depending on the size. Base prices are from $482,000 to $577,000.

A central boiler, whose gas fuel cost will be included in the monthly assessment, supplies each unit with heat. The units are dominated by floor-to-ceiling windows and come with an array of standard features like granite countertops, pantries, gas fireplaces, central air conditioning, ceramic tile foyers, laundry rooms and oak veneer doors. Each owner is given a storage locker in the basement. Additional upgrades to the condos can be purchased, such as opting for a higher-quality kitchen sink and faucet.

When it comes to the location, The Arbors is one block away from the Metra station, where commuters can catch a ride for the 45-minute trip to Chicago. I-94 is also only a few minutes away as well, for those who commute by car. The building is within walking distance of a grocery store and a variety of other retail outlets in the center of Highland Park.
