Chicago International Children's Film Festival
The CICFF is North America's largest and most celebrated film festival devoted to films for and by kids, and it's the only Academy-qualifying children's film festival in the world! (That means our winners in the short film category can go on to compete for the Oscars!) Runs through November 2

Linden Square Pumpkin Walk
Sponsored by the Wilmette Chamber of Commerce and the Linden Square Merchants, the Pumpkin Walk is an opportunity for hundreds of patrons to enjoy the amenities of this neighborhood business district and experience the fall season. The Pumpkin Walk will again feature a free hayride sponsored by Wilmette Chamber members in the area. Participants are also invited to stop in each participating shop for treats and giveaways. This year’s event will also feature many fun activities for the whole family including free face painting, pumpkin painting, free balloon animals, and raffles with prizes from local shops. Feel free to wear your costume!

Parade your pooch for prizes for most creative costume, most humorous, most fashion forward, most breed appropriate, and best owner/dog look-a-like outfits. All participants receive a doggie bag including treats, samples and coupons. Event spooktaters welcome! NOTE: Event is free but advance registration is required. Registration will be open as of September 1.

Holiday Parade
Marching bands, bagpipers, clowns, mini-cars and (of course) Santa comprise just some of the excitement that will take place during the Wilmette Chamber of Commerce annual Holiday Parade. The parade will begin at the CTA parking lot on Fourth St. at 10:30 a.m. and proceed west on Central Avenue to the Village Center at Wilmette Avenue. Bring your camera and take a free picture with Santa after the parade in front of Village Hall.
